Mitt Romney’s Sesame Street Connection

Friday, December 28th, 2007 by Matt

From the first time I saw Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, I knew he reminded me of someone I’d seen before.  I couldn’t put my finger on it, though.  It was driving me nuts.

Then it hit me.  I knew exactly who he looked like:

Mitt Romney IS Guy Smiley!

Mitt Romney looks like Guy Smiley from Sesame Street.

In fact, I’ll go one step further.  I think Mitt Romney IS Guy Smiley.

What’s my proof?

Has anyone ever seen them in the same room at the same time?

Saving Your Coins

Most of us do it…I think.. Take the loose change out of our pockets and dump it into some kind of container.  A man from Indiana did it and saved up enough money to by a new truck - a 2008 Dodge Ram half-ton pick-up.  Not too bad for some pocket change!  No official word on how long he had been saving but the man had bought his previous truck the same way and that was 13 years ago.

Is Texted A Word?

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007 by Marnie

This topic came up the other day.  Matt and I use the word “texted” all the time.  ie: I texted Matt the other day.  It was questioned if “texted” is a real word, or should we be saying, I sent Matt a text the other day.    Both seemed right to me so I did some research. I found “texted” in the Urban Dictionary on line  and also used in a CNN.com headline that read “Get Texted When Loves Near.”  Then the ultimate test : Dictionary.com   -  sure enough the tense of text… text ed  was listed, and the example - She texted me when she arrived .

Even though it may sound awkward, it seems that texted is becoming more acceptable.
