“Glamour” reports that researchers from the University of Louisville found that woman quickly positively judged men between 5′ 10″ and 6′ 2″ as desirable.   Height indicates power, strength and dominance, all qualities women subconsciously seek in a mate.  Height also is an asset for other things.  It turns out that almost always, the taller man wins the election, gets the job and lands the higher pay.

I’m pretty lucky because I have the weekdays free to get my grocery shopping done.  We have all fought the massive crowds on the weekends.

Turns out the worst time to shop as far as crowds go is 5 p.m to 7 p.m on weekdays and also weekend afternoons.  The least crowded times, Monday through Wednesday mornings.

Help

Sunday, March 16th, 2008 by Marnie

spaghetti.jpgAccording to “Quick and Simple”, when asked what kind of personal assistant you would want, it broke down like this:

54%  I want a maid!

23% A personal chef would make my life a breeze.

15% My own hairstylist or makeup artist would be cool.

8%  A personal chauffeur is the way to go.

Personally, I would vote for the personal chef.   I’m not the greatest cook and really don’t enjoy it like some people do.  The problem with that is I love to eat, so a personal chef would be a dream come true!

What about you?

Idol Idol Idol

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008 by Marnie

I love reading the American Idol blogs.  It’s interesting to me how different people have different favorites.  Even when it’s obvious to me, who is the best… ( that’s a joke..lol )

I do have  my favorites.  For the girls - Asia’h Epperson and for the boys - David Archuleta.  My props go out to Dave Cook for last nights performance of “Hello.”  It was the best of the night.

I’m going out on a limb and predicting  Luke and Danny will be voted off this week.
