Buddy Holly’s widow, Maria Elena Holly has taken action against Peggy Sue Garron. Garron is the inspiration of Buddy’s 1957 hit “Peggy Sue.”
Peggy Sue has written a book “Whatever Happened to Peggy Sue?” in which she claims she and Holly were very close and at one point Holly suggested the pair divorce their spouses and run away together.
Maria Elena Holly has petitioned her to cease and desist claiming, Buddy “never considered Peggy Sue a friend.” She fears the book will hurt her reputation and tarnish Buddy’s memory.

Mr. Blackwell’s 48th Annual Worst-Dressed list is out for 2007. Posh Spice..aka…Victoria Beckham has landed in the number one spot. Also on the list is singer Amy Winehouse, actress Mary-Kate Olsen, and singer Kelly Clarkson. Bond girl Eva Green, singers, Avril Lavigne and Jessice Simpson made the list. Mr. Blackwell spared Britney from the list saying he thought it would be “inappropriate” since her “personal life is in such upheaval.”

From the first time I saw Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, I knew he reminded me of someone I’d seen before. I couldn’t put my finger on it, though. It was driving me nuts.
Then it hit me. I knew exactly who he looked like:

Mitt Romney looks like Guy Smiley from Sesame Street.
In fact, I’ll go one step further. I think Mitt Romney IS Guy Smiley.
What’s my proof?
Has anyone ever seen them in the same room at the same time?

In the 1970’s I used to watch the TV show, ” One Day at A Time” with Valerie Bertinelli. As a girl about the same age as her character, Valerie was an idol of mine, perky, beautiful and all the boys wanted her. Well, she got a man alright. In 1981 she married Eddie Van Halen, a guitarist and mega rock star of the time. Her life seemed charmed. As I’ve learned performers are people too and the pedastal they are on, are coming from the admirers, not them. After seven years of separation, Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli marriage is officially over. Their divorce is final. I just hope my 70’s idol finds happiness again.

One of my favorite bands of all time has to be Linkin Park. The band made a major change in 2007, altering the formula that gave them two hit albums. In 2007, the band moved more into their songwriting craft and showed some different influences and more singing on their most recent album “Minutes to Midnight.”
“Minutes to Midnight” debuted at number one when it was released in May. The album was recently named the third best selling album of 2007 by Billboard. The “High School Musical 2 Soundtrack” was number one and Daughtry’s self titled album as number two.
