1898 - Corn Flakes were invented by Will Kellog.

1956 - The U.S. national motto, “In God We Trust” was adopted.

1975 - Former union president Jimmy Hoffa went missing, he was declared dead in 1982.

1999 - The horror film “The Blair Witch Project” opened in theaters.  The low budget film cost only $60 thousand to make but grossed over $80 million in two weeks.
