The Crooked House
September 17th, 2007 by Anne
The crooked house, built by Szotynscy Zaleski, is the most photographed building in Poland. It is a 4,000 square meter house located in the Rezydent shopping center in Sopot, Poland. Construction began in January 2003 and was completed in December 2003.
The architecture is based on a famous Polish illustrator, Jan Marcin Szancer and Per Dahlberg pictures and paintings.
It has colorful stained glass entrances, stone elevation decors and windows framed with sandstone. There is also an unusual roof covered with sheet metal with enamel roof tiles colored with green shades, and Parishian blue, which makes the illusion of dragon scales.
